Why should I hire Alchemy Maids?

(1)We’re certainly not perfect. But because of the extremely low barriers to starting up, anyone can call themselves a professional maid service. Few companies get around to learning about and — even fewer actually — implement systems for everything involved in delivering consistent, reliable results.

So, unlike most maid services, we invest heavily in our maids’ vetting, training, compensation, and continuous learning. And we’re systems focused. Systems allow for consistency, reliability, and accountability.

(2)We’re one of a handful of house cleaning services that use engineered water as their primary disinfectant and cleaner. Engineered water is the greenest “green” cleaner available today. Also, we use water vapor to remove mold from bathroom tiles and grout in lieu of conventional, toxic mildewcide containing products.

We don’t introduce pollutants into your living environment. Many so-called “green certified” cleaners contain almost as many toxins as conventional cleaners. That’s because product health and safety claims are largely unregulated. Many toxic ingredients aren’t mentioned on product labels.

(3)With our Rotation System, your home will be cleaner after 6 months than if you hire one of our competitors. It may take a little longer — two or three visits — to get your home deep cleaned with us. But, over the long run, your home will be cleaner with our processes in place.

What’s the advantage of doing certain cleaning tasks on a rotational basis?

Not all cleaning tasks need to be performed on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

In fact, performing such cleaning tasks every will simply cost you more money because the time it takes to clean your home will be longer.

For example, although your baseboards will be lightly dusted every visit, they only need to be wet wiped 3 or 4 times annually. This obviously makes your home cleaner and prevents having to prematurely repaint your baseboards.

Most maid services charge extra to wet wipe baseboards or other periodic tasks like cleaning inside ovens, microwaves, and refrigerators. And, in reality, these services tend not to be done frequently enough. In a pinch, you’re likely to be the one left having to do the cleaning.

Am I required to sign a contract?

No. Terminate your patronage at any time with 24 hour notice.

Do I need to be at home when the cleaners are there?

No, about 80% of our clients are away. We will need to have a key or security code for the alarm system. We have systems in place to keep your keys secure.

Are your employees trustworthy?

Yes, all of our employees go through an intensive background check and verification process before they even begin training. We only hire employees that we would trust in our own homes!

Can my scheduled cleaning be changed or canceled if an emergency comes up?

Yes, call our office as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. We do require a 24-hour notice of cancellation or we will charge a $50 cancellation fee.

What if I am unhappy with the service I receive?

We have a Money-Back Guarantee policy, so if you are displeased with the work performed, call our office within 24 hours and we will return to your home to fix the problem. If you are still not satisfied, you will receive a full refund.

What if something is broken?

Unfortunately, accidents do occasionally happen. If something is broken, we will write you a note. Someone will contact you to find out how we can replace or pay or the item. We would rather not clean irreplaceable or valuable objects, so please make sure that they are in a safe place when the cleaners arrive.

How do I pay for my cleaning?

We accept cash, checks,or credit card payments. You can arrange to pay us ahead of time, or you can leave the payment on the kitchen counter in an envelope.

What do I need to do about my pets?

Not a problem! If you have pets, we will write a note and any special instructions on your worksheet. Let us know what you would like us to do. It’s probably best to put skittish animals in another room while we are working – especially while running the vacuum.

Do I need to provide cleaning products and equipment?

We provide everything we need to clean your home. We do this so that our employees are familiar with the products and tools they use. We use professional grade chemicals and always have extra supplies with us so that we don’t have to worry about running out of product.

Do your employees speak English?

Yes, all of our employees are fluent in reading and writing English to ensure effective communication between us and our clients.

What do I do if I need extra work done?

Call our office at least one day in advance so that we can schedule any extra time that might be required.
